This co-facilitated Community Schools 101 session introduces the foundational elements of the Community School strategy by pairing national context with New York State practice. Led jointly by the National Center for Community Schools (NCCS) and the NYSED Central/Western Community Schools Technical Assistance Center (C/W CS TAC), the session explores the Essentials for Community School Transformation, examines national and local trends, and supports participants in applying the stages of development to their own context. The session emphasizes practical application, shared facilitation, and alignment between research, policy, and on-the-ground practice.
