About me
Laura Sweig joined Measurement Incorporated (formerly MAGI Educational Services, Inc.) first as a research assistant and then an associate. Prior to joining MI, she was a classroom teacher of middle school Language Arts and Social Studies. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary and Middle School Education from Lesley College and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Hunter College. Ms. Sweig has directed research and evaluation studies for the United States Education Department, the New York State Education Department, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Illinois State Board of Education, and individual schools, school districts, and community-based organizations in urban, rural, and suburban settings. She enjoys being involved in all phases of evaluation design, instrument development and administration, data collection, and technical assistance and has considerable experience evaluating professional development initiatives.Ms. Sweig is the lead evaluator for the New York State Education Department's 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant.
