About me
Luann Kida is a social worker with over 20 years of experience across K–12 and higher education, dedicated to advancing educational equity for marginalized communities. She has led work in school social work, college retention and disability services, and community schools. As senior director, she supports school leaders, youth providers, and higher-education partners as they look to build capacity and implement the university-assisted community schools approach. She guides multiple mental-health and family-engagement initiatives, including the Binghamton University Center for Community Schools Family Engagement Institute and its BUCS LiFE leadership program. Luann holds master’s degrees in Social Sciences and Social Work and is active in state and national community school networks.
