About me
Matthew Shapiro is the Assistant Director of the School Mental Health Resource and Training Center (SMHRTCenter), a project of the Mental Health Association in NYS. In his career as a distinguished mental health advocate, Matthew has consistently been on the forefront of leading critical conversations about mental health in the media and both the public and private sectors. Matthew uses his vast experience facilitating key dialogues on mental health to collaborate with schools across the state to enhance mental wellbeing for entire school communities. Matthew has presented to numerous state and national conferences and is the recipient of several awards.
